Here’s a look at a few pictures from a recent project at the Founder’s Elementary School in Essex, VT. Internationally renowned fiber artist Lisa Klakulak spent two weeks teaching the children the many wonders of felt. Through demonstrations, videos, and plenty of hands-on projects, Lisa helped the children gain an appreciation for this ancient and versatile material. Royalties Media was on-hand to capture the event on film. Dave shot hi-res still images as well as several hours of hi-def and standard-def video footage. The images and film collected will be incorporated in several of Lisa’s marketing materials, including an upcoming DVD and promo spots.

Special thanks to the Founders Memorial School in Essex for allowing us to film, and thanks to all of the wonderful children for their efforts and sincerity. In keeping with our previous posts on past events, here’s a look at our show at the Wootini Gallery way back in 2005. Sam pulled out all the stops with a huge body of new work. Working together, we created an enormous selection of merchandise for the show including shirts, posters, stretched canvases, toy prototypes, pix-cels and more. Pretty amazing, eh? (Especially considering we could scarcely work a digital camera in those days!) Enjoy the gallery below.

In previous posts looking over past events, we’ve given you a look at tradeshow exhibits we’ve produced. Royalties also regularly produces artwork for local and national art venues. While not typically as large-scale or big-budget as tradeshow displays, art shows require significant planning and investment. From image selections to matting and framing to hanging the show, preparing works for public consumption is often an under-appreciated labor of love. Please enjoy the images below of several of Dave’s past exhibits.

Here’s a look at the show we did for Sam at the Rivet Gallery in Columbus, Ohio in 2008. Along with the creation of the art and custom vinyl figures, we also framed and matted the pieces, handled logistics, and created a partially opaque vinyl decal for the gallery window. For examples, please browse the images below.

Here’s a look at some illustrations Sam did for the Johnny Ramone Army. Working from concepts by JRA Chief of Staff John Cafiero (Osaka Popstar), Sam delivered a set of illustrations which have since appeared on apparel, VIP passes, buttons, patches and lots of other great merchandise. To see the animation we worked on for the Johnny Ramone Army (under Executive Producer Linda Ramone & Producer John Cafiero), please click here. To visit the JRA website, please click here.

With character design by Royalties’ co-founder, Sam Fout, Luck Panda is another merchandising concept we developed in 2007. Working with Diamond Comics and a sculpting partner, the character concept was revealed at the 2007 International ToyFair in New York. Though it was never one of Sam’s favorite properties, the Luck Panda prototype does claim the dubious distinction of having been stolen from a full display case in Diamond’s showroom in the Manhattan Toy District building.

With character design by Royalties’ co-founder, Sam Fout, 800lb. Gorilla is another merchandising concept we developed in 2007. Working with Diamond Comics and a sculpting partner, the line garnered considerable interest at the 2007 International ToyFair in New York. Though it is yet to be released as a full-scale merchandise line, 800lb. Gorilla remains at Royalties among a respectable list of optional properties.
