Royalties Media proudly announces the launch of another new site, AdPopulum.net
AdPopulum.net is a site for reasonable and well-informed commentary on American and global affairs. It’s name, stemming from the Latin expression, “argumentum ad populum,” seeks to challenge the logical fallacy that simply because many believe something to be true it necessarily is. In order to fulfill their mission, AdPopulum seeks out and publishes commentary from a wide range of authors at many points on the political spectrum. In doing so, they highlight differences in opinion as well as under-appreciated similarities.
Conceived as an online publication, AdPopulum’s WordPress structure allows for multiple contributors with easily specified publishing privileges. If you’d like help building a reliable and dynamic desktop publishing platform, please call us at (802)598-3193 or email dave[at]royaltiesmediainc[dot]com.

Here’s a look at some materials Dave created while working with RETN in 2008. Some of the images depict graphics which were made for broadcast, while other images depict a set of four handbills that were designed and printed for the Champlain College Tech-Jam. Working with RETN (under Doug Dunbebin and Scott Campitelli) was a great experience and a great introduction to broadcast standards, film editing and motion graphics. We’ve since gone on to create broadcast projects for an array of clients!

With character design by Royalties’ co-founder, Sam Fout, and shared concept development, we revealed the iToons iPod dock in 2006 under our production alias, Moon Toad Productions. Featuring characters from Sam’s popular Project: Neptoon series, the iToon dock was rendered in 3D and output in perfect scale in two different rapid prototyping materials.
Rapid prototyping (a.k.a. 3D printing) offers an effective alternative to traditional sculpture, often resulting in a durable prototype suitable for manufacturing. With character design by Royalties’ co-founder, Sam Fout, Lemon Lime is a merchandising concept we developed in early 2007. Working with Diamond Comics and a sculpting partner, Lemon Lime gained considerable acclaim at the 2007 International ToyFair in New York. Though it is yet to be released as a full-scale merchandise line, Lemon Lime remains at Royalties among a respectable list of optional properties.

In 2008 Dave designed a new homepage scheme for Sam’s Unfinished Furniture. The page was coded for the Internet by their host, and has undergone several iterations in the past few years, but Dave’s fundamental design and layout remains intact.
