Sometimes the best jobs are the simple ones that are close to home! Here’s a look at a recent invitation created for Dave’s daughter’s 5th birthday party. This design was created with Photoshop and Illustrator (as well as with camera and scanner) and distributed via 4/1 print cards and the Internet.

Here’s a look at a site created recently for an interior, textile and furniture designer in New York. While most of the specifications were provided by the client, Dave carried out the execution, layout proposals, coding for the Internet and deployment. However, Dave’s most valuable task on this assignment was making the complex task of making a fast affordable website easy and simple for the client to understand.

Here’s a look at another killer project from 2008. Working with a prominent southeast events producer, we put together a rock poster for the Mars Volta show in Asheville, NC. Designed and lettered entirely by Royalties co-founder, Sam Fout.

A favorite project from 2008 was the shirt Dave put together for his good friends at Viva Espresso. While having the privilege to design an artist’s series shirt was a thrill, Dave was also especially stoked to be able to manage the entire shirt project. In keeping with a shared ethic of local and organic, Dave sourced incredibly high quality domestically produced shirts with local representation. In fact, these are some of the only all-natural, completely biodegradable, printed organic cotton shirts in the world! Even more impressive: they’re easy to produce, fast and affordable!

In 2008 Dave designed a new homepage scheme for Sam’s Unfinished Furniture. The page was coded for the Internet by their host, and has undergone several iterations in the past few years, but Dave’s fundamental design and layout remains intact. This is a classic project, but still one of our favorites here at Royalties Media. In 2006, we produced a skateboard deck along with the merchandising program for one of our signature intellectual properties, “Project: Neptoon.” Designed and produced by company founders Sam Fout and Dave Davidson, the “Chimp Pansy” deck was proudly built entirely in the USA in top quality maple in an exclusive limited edition of 50 decks. Rounding out the project, each deck was individually shrink-wrapped with an assortment of “Project: Neptoon” vinyl decals and postcards.
