Extraordinary circumstances call for extraordinary results. In this unique project, Dave restored a cherished family photo that was brought to him after the client’s dog chewed it to pieces. Have a look at the images below to see how modern image manipulation can add new snap to old photos – even damaged ones.

While there are good ways and bad ways to manipulate photographs, few would deny that some enhancement and color correction is almost always necessary. Going beyond the basics of color correction, though, allows photographers to create emotion, direct the viewer’s attention, stimulate the imagination and much more. Have a look at the before and after photographs below and let us know what you think of our photo manipulations!

Here’s a look at a few pictures from a recent project at the Founder’s Elementary School in Essex, VT. Internationally renowned fiber artist Lisa Klakulak spent two weeks teaching the children the many wonders of felt. Through demonstrations, videos, and plenty of hands-on projects, Lisa helped the children gain an appreciation for this ancient and versatile material. Royalties Media was on-hand to capture the event on film. Dave shot hi-res still images as well as several hours of hi-def and standard-def video footage. The images and film collected will be incorporated in several of Lisa’s marketing materials, including an upcoming DVD and promo spots.
Special thanks to the Founders Memorial School in Essex for allowing us to film, and thanks to all of the wonderful children for their efforts and sincerity. Here’s a look at a set of posters Dave designed for the very talented yoga instructor, Leah Goldberg. Leah approached Royalties for a poster which conveys her sincerity and deep interest in traditional (yet rigorous) yoga practice, while catching the public eye and building an aura of spirituality.

Although it is now officially the age of new media – with all of the opportunities and challenges that naturally accompany it – few things still manage the satisfaction of publishing a book. The tactile pleasure of holding smooth covers and crisp pages, the ability to read any place at any time, the ease of sharing with others, and the proven ability to withstand the ages makes books an ideal form of expression.
Dave recently put together a book featuring an intimate look at 2009 family travels in Italy. With 12″ x 12″ pages, a custom photographic cover and high quality hi-res images, Italia 2009 would make a gorgeous addition to any library or coffee table. We’ve linked a digital reproduction of the book below. Please have a look and enjoy!

Sometimes the best jobs are the simple ones that are close to home! Here’s a look at a recent invitation created for Dave’s daughter’s 5th birthday party. This design was created with Photoshop and Illustrator (as well as with camera and scanner) and distributed via 4/1 print cards and the Internet.

In 2008 Dave designed a new homepage scheme for Sam’s Unfinished Furniture. The page was coded for the Internet by their host, and has undergone several iterations in the past few years, but Dave’s fundamental design and layout remains intact. Have a look below to see his original concept and click over to Sam’s Unfinished to see their latest updates.
